NEXT GEN EDUTANTR PVT LTD ("EduTantr", "we", "us", "our") operates the website www.edutantr.in and its associated student/admin portals (together, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: full name, email address, phone number, and a securely hashed password when you register.
• Enrollment details: the program/domain you apply for, college/organisation, and enrollment status.
• Website enquiries: your name, email, optional phone and company details, enquiry type, project preferences, optional budget/timeline, and message. Enquiries are stored in the application database and are available to authorized EduTantr administrators for follow-up. We may also attempt to send an email notification.
• Payment information: transaction reference numbers and payment screenshots you submit for verification. We do not store full card, UPI PIN, or banking credentials — payments are processed by Razorpay/UPI and are subject to their own privacy policies.
• OAuth sign-in: if you choose "Continue with Google / GitHub / Microsoft / Apple", we receive your name and email address from that provider to create or match your account. We never see or store your provider password.
• Usage data: course progress, recordings watched, login timestamps, and similar activity within the LMS, used to track your learning progress.
• Chatbot messages: the assistant sends your current question and recent conversation turns to our configured AI provider only when AI service is enabled. Otherwise, it answers from the site FAQ. The Platform does not store chat transcripts. Please do not share passwords, payment information, or other sensitive details in chat.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your student account and enrollment.
• To verify payments and activate access to the programs/domains you've enrolled in.
• To communicate important updates — enrollment status, Google Classroom links, and program announcements.
• To respond to student, internship, training, project and business enquiries.
• To improve our programs based on aggregate, anonymised progress data.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Payment processors (Razorpay/UPI) strictly to confirm a transaction.
• OAuth providers (Google/GitHub/Microsoft/Apple) strictly to authenticate your login.
• The configured AI service, when enabled, to generate chatbot responses from recent conversation text.
• The configured SMTP email service to attempt enquiry and account-notification delivery.
• Google Classroom, where an admin has assigned you to a classroom for your enrolled domain.
• Authorities, only where required by law.

4. Data security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Admin access to the dashboard is protected by a signed, time-limited authentication token. Enrollment and recording data is only shown to the student it belongs to — students cannot see domains or recordings they have not been enrolled in.

5. Data retention

We retain account and enrollment records for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide certificates, respond to disputes, and meet legal/accounting requirements. Website enquiries are retained as needed to respond and maintain business records.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate details, or request deletion of your account by writing to us at the email below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any records we're legally required to keep.

7. Cookies

We use essential local storage/session tokens to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the Platform.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
